Growing up in small-town Wyoming I am blessed to have the close presence of family and loved ones which has strongly informed what home means to me. In my experiences the environment in which I connected with the people I love: my parents and brothers, friends and loved ones, had major impact on the magic of those moments.

My childhood homes were the first places I exercised my creative and felt a pull to play with design. To my parents credit I rearranged and moved home decor countless times as a little girl and I was never met with discouragement; the family living room, my bedroom, and my reluctant brothers’ rooms all fell victim to my craving for design work. I also held the self appointed title of my dad’s best helper when we renovated our houses. As I learned more through working with him my motivation and excitement grew around home design and using my hands in the design process. Through my experiences, I’ve learned what makes a space feel like home, how I can help others feel more comfortable and inspired to connect and gather in their spaces, and the intoxicating satisfaction that comes with the completion of a project.

During my educational experience at the University of Wyoming I have expanded on my passion and learned about the technical and business side of interior design. Through this I’ve discovered how I can use my passion and eye for design to add value and opportunities for connection to my clients’ spaces. The design philosophy that drives my projects is the idea that interiors should be fun and expressive with small details to add a sense of magic to the design; the magic that helps inform the feeling of connection and home for those using the space.

In order for me to establish my identity as a designer, I created the moniker “Armadillo & Co.” as an umbrella brand for my projects and work that is included in my portfolio on the next pages.
